Project Advisory

Big-Firm Depth. Without the Big-Firm Fees.

We are your advisor first and your broker second. You engage on a monthly retainer for a real analysis and roadmap up front, and if you purchase through us, a portion of that retainer is credited toward your purchase. Every engagement includes implementation oversight through go-live.

When advice is free, you're the product.

Why does VocalPoint charge for advice when many technology advisors are free?

Free advisors are typically paid by the vendors they recommend, so their analysis tends to be light and the shortlist can lean toward whoever pays best. We charge for a real assessment, a comprehensive SOW and a roadmap before any vendor is introduced. You own that work. If you purchase through us, a portion of that front-end fee is credited toward your purchase, so committed clients get big-firm depth without big-firm fees.

The model

The model, in one paragraph

We are a specialized contact center and communications consultancy. Unlike traditional firms that leave you with a 90-page slide deck and a six-figure invoice, our broker relationships allow us to credit a portion of those fees back if you choose to procure through our contracts.

In practice that means you get the depth of a large consulting firm, the buying power of a broker, and oversight through go-live — at fees a mid-market budget can actually carry.

How it works

Step 1

Deep analysis

Your environment, customer journey, contracts and goals — studied before anyone mentions vendors.

Step 2

SOW & roadmap

A comprehensive statement of work and a sequenced roadmap tied to CSAT. Yours to keep.

Step 3

Vendor introductions

Only then do we bring in the providers that fit, run the evaluation and negotiate.

Step 4

A portion credited back

Buy through VocalPoint and a portion of the retainer is credited toward your purchase.

Step 5

Implementation oversight

We stay on through go-live with light project management that keeps things moving.

After the signature

Implementation oversight on every engagement

Most advice ends the day the contract is signed. Ours doesn't. Every VocalPoint engagement includes light project management through go-live, so the roadmap we wrote actually happens.

Owners, dates, status

Every item on the roadmap has a named owner, a date and a status. We keep that list, not you, and we work it until the work is done.

Vendor accountability

We chase the providers on your timeline — provisioning, integrations, number porting, contract terms — so promises made during the sale turn into deliveries.

Your team stays focused

Your people keep running the center and the business. We run the project, flag the risks early and bring you the decisions that actually need you.

The retainer

Billed monthly, and faster when you are

We don't invoice a large project fee up front, and we don't bill by the hour. Your engagement runs on a monthly retainer until the roadmap is in your hands.

One monthly retainer

Your engagement runs on a simple monthly retainer that covers the analysis, the SOW and the roadmap. No project fee sized for a big-firm budget, no per-hour surprises.

You set the pace

We can only move as fast as the information arrives — contracts, call data, current flows, org charts. Send what we ask for promptly and the work closes sooner, so fewer months are billed.

The buy-through credit still applies: if you purchase through VocalPoint, a portion of the retainer is credited toward your purchase.

Free brokers, big consulting firms, and VocalPoint

Large global consulting firms bring deep expertise at fees most mid-market teams can't justify. Free advisors cost nothing up front but are paid by vendors. We bring the same depth of contact center and UC knowledge, focused entirely on your outcome.

Why a retainer, and why it keeps fees down

A retainer means the work is done properly and both sides are committed from day one. It also puts the pace in your hands: the sooner the contracts, call data and answers reach us, the sooner the roadmap lands — and the fewer months you pay for. Buy through us and a portion of what you paid comes back as a credit toward your purchase.
