VocalPoint started as an idea to simplify the buying process of telecom and cloud services for businesses. We wanted to create an environment where we could be truly independent while still having access to all the engineering and sales resources of the providers.
This gave VPC a unique advantage in the market. Unlike direct sales firms that only tried to push sales for their products, we acted as an independent agency able to offer several solutions. Today VocalPoint has grown to offer customized solutions from more than 150 of the nation’s top telecom and cloud service providers.
My career in telecom began in the early 2000’s selling PBX’s for Expanets/Avaya. For 10 years I supported sales channels for large telecommunication manufacturers as well as industry leading resellers where I gained a great deal of knowledge engineering and selling communication systems such as Avaya, Cisco, ShoreTel, NEC, etc. I also gained a great deal of knowledge about telecommunications networking and design. Working within large sales organizations I saw first hand the problems that companies face when it came to procuring telecom and cloud solutions with the bias that is spun from direct sales teams.
In 2010 I took that industry knowledge and created VocalPoint Consulting in an effort to simplify the buying process of telecom and cloud services for businesses of all sizes and to provide peace of mind to customers faced with the overwhelming complexity and sheer number of offerings available. I’m very proud of our reputation at VocalPoint built upon scrupulous integrity.
I grew up in Central Florida and I love the outdoors. When I’m not working you can find me on the golf course, at the beach, or simply spending some quality family time with my wife and daughter. I’m also active in the Central Florida community and serve at Real Life Christian Church and on the Board of Directors for the Orlando Technology Group.
I started working for VocalPoint Consulting when Derek contacted me about collaborating on a few marketing projects for the company. One thing lead to another and soon I was helping launch a new marketing initiative, meeting with clients, and planning for events. These days, I am in charge of Marketing and Business Development for VocalPoint Consulting.
My background in video advertising, sales, and production management has afforded me opportunities to work closely with small and medium sized businesses in the past. I’ve witnessed how the cloud and next generation telecom solutions have reshaped the technology landscape. Now I’m excited to be part of it.
I’ve seen the personal touch and objectivity that we bring to every opportunity and how that approach benefits our clients. Direct carriers can only talk about their products and services — we have the opportunity to engage with all of the top telecom and cloud suppliers. It’s a true paradigm shift and problem-solving operation and I’m proud to be part of it.
